Volunteers are at the heart of the Stay the Course Walk, helping create a safe, welcoming and memorable experience for every participant.
By volunteering, you'll play an important role in supporting an event that brings the Western Sydney community together to help students facing financial hardship stay on track to complete their degrees.
Whether you're a student, staff member, alumni or community member, we'd love to have you on the team.

Together, we're helping ensure financial hardship is never the reason a student has to leave university.
Volunteer Roles
There are a range of volunteer opportunities available on the day, including:
- Route Marshals
- Participant Support
- Registration and Information
- Activation and Checkpoint Support
- Event Set-up and Pack-down
No previous experience is required. Full training and a pre-event briefing will be provided.
What You'll Receive
As a Stay the Course Walk volunteer, you'll receive the opportunity to be part of a major community event supporting student success. In addition, you'll also receive:
Official volunteer T-shirt or identification
Pre-event training and support
Food and refreshments on the day
A digital volunteer badge to recognise your contribution
