Why am I fundraising

I’m proud to be taking part in Stay the Course 2026 and fundraising for a cause that is very close to my heart. I was born and raised in Western Sydney, I’m raising my children here, and I’ve spent the past 20 years of my career supporting this incredible region. I’m now proud to be working at Western Sydney University — a place whose purpose and commitment to our community I genuinely believe in. The diversity, spirit and sense of community here is like no other. I’m passionate about creating opportunities for people in Western Sydney and believe everyone deserves the opportunity to study, build a career and create a future, no matter their circumstances. Our students are a vital part of the future of Western Sydney. Stay the Course is about walking alongside our students, supporting their success and investing in the skilled local workforce our region needs to thrive. This is more than a fundraising walk for me — it’s a way of giving back to the community I love and helping create opportunities for the next generation of Western Sydneysiders.
